Wildlife networks are pivotal for safeguarding wildlife health through the Wildlife Health Programme of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). Ensuring their long-term sustainability, even amid fluctuations in funding, is essential. The key lies in fostering ownership, transparency and collaboration, eliminating gatekeepers, securing stable funding and resources, engaging passionate individuals and committed stakeholders, delivering value, developing suitable tools, and promptly addressing Members’ needs. Integrating these elements as a coherent value network can enhance the long-term sustainability of wildlife networks at WOAH.
