At the WOAH Council meeting held on 28 September 2023, Dr Éloit – Director General – announced that she would be stepping down before the end of her term of office (30 June 2026), for personal reasons. This decision will take effect following the election of a new Director General at the 91st General Session of the World Assembly of Delegates in May 2024. The competent Ministerial Authorities of the Members and the Delegates have been informed so that candidatures can be sent to the President of the Organisation.
